Poured Landscapes These unique pieces are created using a multi-step process of photography, illustration, projection and pouring. It begins with a photo of the subject, typically from a clients favorite place, then it’s illustrated on an ipad, projected onto the surface hanging on the wall in the studio. The image is sketched out onto the surface, adding notes for color and placement of subjects. The background is poured and mixed on the surface. When it’s dry, the top layer is sketched out onto the background. The subject is then “drawn” using bottles, paint sticks and cups, giving the painting a sense of movement and depth. The result is a heavily textured layering of an interpretation of the original photo.
